Traveling to Vancouver in two days - Part 2
Day One - Morning: Stanley Park
Stanley park is the largest urban park in North America, larger than New York's Central Park. Of course, you can't cover 1000+ Acres in a day so focus on the highlights, which a route called the SeaWall - a trail on the edge of the Park and the ocean.
We started from our hotel at around 10:45 AM - walked ~25m and then rented a bike from Spokes, which is at the entrance of Stanley park. I highly recommend renting a bike - it's fun, healthy and you are riding with a lot of locals along the trail. You do have the option of local loop bus that has a pickup and drop-off service at different spots along the route. Here are some details that will be helpful if you decide to rent a bike This is specific to Spokes since that's where we rented from, but I did notice there were many bike rental places around the park.

- $7.52 / Hour for my bike (this was the cheapest option).
- $9.50 / Hour for my wife's mountain bike. We needed to rent this since it's the only one that can accommodate a child carrier.
- $4.50 / Hour for a child carrier.
- Your hotel may have a coupon, mine had a coupon for $1 off for every hour. Make sure to get as many coupons as bikes / child carriers you plan to rent, you can use one for each.
- The trail is approximately a 7KM loop.
- The way their pricing works is that you pay for the first three hours and then the next three hours are free. So you get 6 hours for the price of 3 hours (and I believe the billing starts again if you exceed six hours).
- So, plan in advance what you want to do. If you are going to close in on 3 hours - you could just as well do a leisurely 4 hours or so.
We did about 3.5 hours and I would recommend at least that much.
We had lunch in a cafe at the very end of the park (address here) - they had really good Veggie burgers. You could also pack a picnic lunch and stop somewhere in the middle, , which, in hindsight, may have been a better option.
